Tailor-Made News – January 2013

Newsletter — Jetwing eMarketing @ 9:25 am

Dear Friend,

Ayubowan and wishes for a year filled with good fortune, good health, good friends and good moments!

Sri Lanka Tourism has achieved it’s long cherished goal of welcoming a million tourists and earning a billion dollars in revenue in 2012! The number of arrivals expected in 2013 is even more ambitious and we seek your assistance to reach this goal. The country is also planning on embarking on a promotional effort against the backdrop of negative publicity circulating in some media. Tourism benefits many people around the country and it is heartening to see more and more visitors travelling to the North and the East to see the beauty of the area firsthand.

The Flamingos who had deserted the North of the country during the conflict period has now come back to Mannar in force. Many who have had the good fortune to see them have been wowed by their majestic presence.

We have also had our share of bad weather, a few days in December and unfortunately it would have prevented a few of our visitors from having a perfect holiday. Fortunately, the sun is shining brightly now and Sri Lanka is back to it’s green best! Incidentally, 27th of January, is also the Jetwing Earth day. This year, we will spend a week with school children from schools in the neighborhood of the Jetwing Hotels and talk to them about the environment and its protection.

27th January, is also another special day for Jetwing, as we will unveil our new Café concept. Called “Café J” we will have our first in Negombo, the birthplace of Jetwing Hotels and Jetwing Travels. This stylish café will be just adjoining the Jetwing Blue and will have crepes, coffee, cocktails, ice cream etc. etc. Jetwing is committed to make Negombo the most sought after Tourist Destination in the country and this is another effort towards that. I sincerely hope you will be able to indulge it’s goodies soon.

Construction is going according to plan at Jetwing Yala and Jetwing Colombo. We have another concept planned, and hopefully, I will be able to share it with you next time. I hope you will be able to schedule a visit to us in 2013!

Until then, warm wishes,
